Mcculloch saw I'd help

Got this old McCulloch from my father in-law...he said it was his dad's (has lots of sentimental value) and would really like to see running again.... ... the numbers on crankcase say s44a - 55a on left side and 8655 on right ...... so is it a super 44a? ......any help would be appreciated

My guess would be 44A, 80 cc saw with 2.125 bore x 1.375 stroke. If you can check the stroke and it is actually 1.5 that would make it an 87 cc Super 44A.

That’s a cool old saw Not much help identifying it I’ve got 3 none of them look like that one good luck
