I have not bought a band mill yet, still undecided. There is a 2000 model year Norwood Lumbermate for sale locally. Has a 20 horse Honda motor, 10 blades, 16 feet track, and the sharpener/setter. It looks new, and the owner claims it was used very little due to him not being up to the physical aspect of moving the wood. What is this set-up worth? Also, what to look for for signs of excessive wear? Thanks!

Wood hick,

I'm not sure how a lumbermate depreciates but I bought a new lumbermate a couple weeks ago, have used it and am very impressed. If it's a good deal, I'd say go for it. The great thing is you can still order more parts and accesories from Norwood if you decide to go through with it.

I'm sure Rob and woodbutcher will be along soon.....
