I'd like to make some boards with my saw. Does anyone have any experience with milling attachments for saws?

How well do these attachments work? Do people use home-built attachments or commercial ones? What chain do you run - ripping or standard?

Thanks,

I use an Alaskan Mill. Works well for everything I've done thus far. There's more high-tech and more sophisticated set-ups out there, but the AK milll has been a gem thus far. My buddy Pat (actually his mill and 660) and I have processed many, many, many, many bf of WRC, alder and fir. The mill and saw have payed for themselves several times over already in less than a year.

We run ripping chain.

Jeff
