Moto mix or run dry?

I have moto mixed for storage the last 3 years and all fire up and run in the spring. My experience only.

I've heard moto mix is a good way to store saws, but I've never had an issue running them dry either.

My vote is on running it dry. But ethanol free fuel with stabilizer should be fine to keep in the tank over the winter. Always best to fill as full as possible if you are going to store it wet.

I'll dump the gas & oil but I don't run them dry. I store them on old cookie sheets (don't laugh) year around just in case I have an oil leaker, so I don't mess up the shelf. I've got non ethanol gas here and always add SeaFoam to my mix. Seems to work well for me.
