I guess the flocked filter seems high maintenance.I blow mine out every couple days and wash when needed. I would not run the plastic mesh one. I hate whenever stihl adds weight to a saw,power that's another story.

What did stihl do to make the 261 better?

Can anyone answer this? I would like to know also. Four transfers like the 361 maybe?
