Ms170 with a 325 ?

I have a old ms170. It’s my trail saw for on the quad/sled or in the pickup when hunting.
The bar is original and is beyond warn out. It’s just the 16” .043 picco set up they come with.

personally I hate that chain. And the tiny files. I would like to replace the bar.
Was wondering if I can put something like a 325 chain on it. Maybe a 12” bar.
do they make a 325 drum sprocket for these saws?

Id go to the 3/8 lo pro .050 gauge setup in a non-safety chain setup...that saw would be royally pissed with .325 id think

I came across a video of a guys swaping a 170 to that. I thinks that’s the route I’ll go.

Go with the .050" 3/8" LP. You'll be glad that you did. Leave that .043 stuff on the poles saws that it was intended for...
