Purchased the saw from a local guy, like new condition, noticed tonight that it does not say STIHL anywhere on the cyl.?????? Saw runs great, just curious.

My Husky 372xp that I bought used doesn't have any Husqvarna branding on the cylinder either.
But it does say MAHLE 8F 50ZK50 W3 on the transfer area. And has a blue 50 stamped on top, along with some other marks near the spark plug that I'm not sure what they mean.

Pretty much never do. The only one I’ve ever seen marked “Stihl” is the rare KS 44mm 1121 026 jug. It’s shinier metal than Mahle are, like all KS jugs. They are a beoch to machine and port and aren’t any better than Mahle.

Here is a pic of oem 026/260 jugs. The last pic is with band and base cuts awaiting port work.

From left to right, older “red lever jug”, 44.7 NOS MS260, late 026 44mm.

The red lever jug has the lowest factory ex roof of any of the three.
