Can someone tell me what the compression should be for a still ms310? Trying to figure out if it's low on power or just me. Seems to be bogging down even with a new 18" chain.

What are you getting? Mine was at 160 the last time I had it checked ( about a month ago) with about 35 tanks of gas through it and four years old.

100 psi the saw will run (not strong but will run)
120-140 psi + the saw should run but feel weak
140-160 psi is perfect.

These are best estimates though. Get yours and go from there.

When was the last time you adjusted the carb? It could be just a tune that it needs.

Also, overtime the carb diaphram can go bad and you may need a carb kit, if you have never rebuilt the carb you really should do it as it's only about $7 for a kit and fairly easy to do.

If you say you have lots of hours on it, I would pull the muffler and check piston.
