This 440 is a beautiful saw. Good seller as well.

I always liked the 440, so It's mostly based on nostalgia.
The 562 in most wood can probably hang with a 440.

I have both. 562 can do it all. 440 is a Legend

True on the bar comment. A 440 will pull a 24" bar better in our wood. Although a 20" bar is like peas and carrots on a 440.

I'll bet my un ported 044 will out cut even a ported 562. Of course, the KS jug helps.

I'm loaded up on ms362cms at the moment, I don't want the 562xp. They are a nice saw, but I choose the ms362cm for my own reasons. Either saw is great. heck, all saws are great!

Beautiful saw, the market just seems real soft at the moment. My 440, with some simple at home mods (no porting) runs VERY strong! Much lighter than a 460, and more powerful (with the mods) than a stock one.
