I rebuilt this saw I found in the verge, took it out for the first run today. Had a good time, I took some footage. The only other saw I’ve run close to this is a stihl 076AV Super.

In the past almost all the fallers around here (SE Australia) used them. They would wear out 2 or 3 a year, write them off for tax and flog em in the pub on Friday night. The local stihl dealer used to buy them by the pallet. Interestingly, there was occasionally a dud amongst them, the blokes could tell straight away, they would hand them back and get a new one no questions asked.

More proof that it runs fine:
This logger now uses the Stihl 500i for most of his work, but if it's ever down for one reason or another, he picks up the 660 and keeps on going.
