Stihl 038 AV Super, runs good for a few minutes then dies, coughs when try to restart.

Hi, hoping someone here can help me with my incompetence, I'm new to working with Stihl equipment and was ask to recommision an old 038 AV Super that had sat for a while.

long story short I've battled ignition issues and replaced the carb (Bing48A101) with a tillotson model.

It starts and runs well for a good few minutes, free revving but then will stall out and die, when I attempt to restart it it will cough and run for a second then die again.

Coil readings (0.2 Primary, 9.3K Secondary), its had a replacement coil wire too. I have been messing with this for a good few hours now and not sure if I should be spending anymore time on it and sending it off to the sky.....

Didn't charge anything as I was clearly not clever enough to figure the issue out lol

I wouldn't mind that carb too, just don't need the rest of the saw!

could be a plugged tank vent or the coil when it gets hot fails
