My new (old) Stihl 026 idles fast/slow depending on vertical/sideways. Normal?

Thankyou 777 I was thinking along the same lines I was fishin I guess for a video maybe yeah of how to a picture speeks a 1000 words a video almost more than a mother in law ;O)) yeah

My old 026 (bought from US) does exactly the same thing.

I just live with it and keep using it.

Be nice to know what it is though.

I have a 026 which runs well, only it stops or goes down in idle when pointing the bar nose downwards. Vacuum test was ok, replaced fuel line, diaphragms, lever, but no improvement. Somebody told me it is a common feature of the 026/024 , it could be drops of fuel collecting in the inlet manifold which run into the cylinder when pointing the bar downwards.

Could easily just be the tank vent + pooling.
