I took the plunge and bought an Echo CS-452VL chainsaw listed on e-Bay. Seems like a good saw for my needs. I'm a retired grandpa doing backyard work with eucalyptus (40 to 100 yr. old trees). Saw apparently quite a bit older than I realized, and am challenged to get info on proper replacement chain and bar (20"). Starts and runs good, but doesn't turn up the rpms I sort of expected. Sounds about the same speed as my 10 yr old McCullough 3200.
Anybody got a website that might help me out with info on this model saw?

Thanks for any advice.

It's a good reliable saw, but older, it won't quite turn the same kind of rpm a lot of saws today have but it is pretty peppy.

I've never seen one running a 20" bar. This is only a 44cc saw. Really, I wouldn't recomend anything beyond a 16".

As retoocs says it is better with a 16" bar. I sold about 100 of them from the mid 1970's to the early 1980's...Bob
