I like the idea, but there would have to be some organization to it otherwise it would be difficult to find specific information.

or even by brand and then by model.
Most the information is already on this forum but it takes some searching to find it and it's not all in one place.
While we are talking about revamping this forum I personally think some more sub categories would be nice. Sadly though the only sections for chainsaws that really gets viewed are the classifieds and the "chainsaw section". Post something in the hot saw section and you'll be lucky to get a response.
