Have some time to contribute to AS. I read tons but dont post often. I probably wouldn't pursue either as I'm am satisfied with my 200T's and 346XP.

Look like shindaiwa and echo have a new light top handle to compete with the MS150T and a better performing 50cc saw. Looks like the TH is lighter and more powerful than the stihl. This is interesting.

not sure if this is the same model under a different name, but it sounds pretty good to me:\

Heres the 50cc saw. Looks like the Shindaiwa/echo 490/500 but with a standard starter cover and power is up to 3.5hp. No 550xp, MS261, PS5105 power wise, but into respectable power territory for the last generation of saws ie husqvarna 353, MS260. I know this will have little interest to some, but the direction there going seem to indicate they could be capable of more. In the end, it wont mean much if sales dont follow.

at 2mins is the saw in wood. would have been more suited to show it in a limbing video.

That top handle looks great, they have had similar 25cc TH models in the past but this looks to be a new model all together. lt beats the ms150 on paper, l bet its a great little saw!
