Hey all I'm a new member and have been getting some good info on here the last few months. This is my first post so here goes. I've recently bought a Pioneer 1120 saw that needed a new rear handle/carb box so while I had it apart I took the primer assembly apart the rubber was toast and after reading some I found they're impossible to find. So I started looking around and found a part that is easy to find and reasonably priced to replace it. What you need to do is go to your friendly John Deere dealer and ask them for one of a part number B3285R tachometer cable seal. These were used on the row crop tractors built from the mid fifties to the mid eighties and are made of an oil resistant rubber. They are a little smaller than the original part but the two pieces of the primer housing will still hold it in place and the primer works as it should. I don't know about how long they will last with the fuel but figured if they worked with oil they should work with fuel to. So give it a try it works good for me so far.
