New Milling Saw

I thought Stihl didn't honour their warranties in the USA if the saws were used for milling .... according to some on this board.

Also, it has to be tuned for milling.

Just curious, why not the 88 for milling?

Ekka, I remember that "discussion." When I bought my 660, my dealer knew what I was buying it to do. I asked him about the warranty, and he said 90 days, just like the others.

I think what the consensus was it all comes down to the dealer. Some dealers will find any reason to not honor a warranty, some will take care of the issues if it is indeed not a mistake of the operator.
