I had my 475 out today. I had not run it since 2015. Started right up and did not even have to re-tune the saw. I had a 28" bar on it.
I needed to cut this Elm so I could lift it with my tractor. It was just too heavy.

Well I think I am going to try and mill some of it. Then the rest I will noodle into small pieces.
I will need a bigger mill and a longer bar and chain. The saw I have covered.

The 2300 (or poulan mini chassie ) sucked to adjust carb on the fly . Here is my solution . $6.00 at napa .
I've always done the trial and error til I got those tuned, cap off, cap on. Ahhh, the capper.

I have a spare cover that I punched a couple of holes in for tuning those carbs. Tune them, then swap on the original cover.
Now, where I have actually hidden the cover is a different story. Seems I am getting really good at putting things in "special" places. I am starting to find stuff I have hidden from myself 3-4 years ago.

PP 4218 with a strange problem.
Secondary (?) throttle lever hangs up at WOT in the cut. (Top left) Then dies, natch, when the trigger is released.
Take off the top cover and flip it shut to restart.
Won’t do it piss reving.

Have you cleaned the air valve shaft? Is it easy the make the valve close or is there some dragging or resistance felt?

I can flip it all day with my finger. Never once hung up.[emoji35]
What happens when you hold it wot at the valve kind of hard but not gorilla hard,and hold it, does it stick?

I'd make sure the screws holding that part on hasn't loosen up any.

I would suggest then that it is the throttle cable hanging up.
Not connected to the ‘secondary’.
Knob on throttle shaft bellcrank flips it open.
I just maybe drill some tiny holes and use braided fishing line to connect the two levers. Drag the secondary shut. [emoji848]
Got this yesterday:
I thought that 3/8” x 20” was a bit much for 54cc.
