This may be a better picture.haha I have a lot of parts in old envelopes it may have gotten mixed up before I got it somehow .
I sent this pic to a guy that’s very familiar with older stuff and he immediately identified it as a 245 rod but he would try to check the number . I must have transcribed it wrong from the old envelope he said the correct number is 10071 . What amazes me is that someone can be familiar enough with parts this old to recognize that !
This is the 1st one of these I have found that has a chain brake.

Haven't seen that either. I did purchase a chainbrake for one of my S25da's years ago, but never imstalled it.

You guys talking about oilers my 3300 I just got has an adjustable Oiler. Are they considered a pro saw has magnesium pull start cover says forester on clutch cover. I really like it now I got another saw series to hunt for. Like to find a chain break but don’t have my hopes up. Thanks

I consider them a pro grade type build myself aka 3300. Mag case with bolt on cylinder that is bare bore and 54cc.
Check your recoil cover. Only seen them plastic in these. Clutch cover most times too.
Green 3450 3750 chain brake covers will work for match. Also others in yellow and red.

Auto oiler is standard on those 3300s, but remember that the adj screw direction is opposite of what you may think...backing it out CCW increases flow!

I was gonna draw a paper pattern but they have some weird bends.
We have been working on a road widening project for the privately maintained road I live on. Since I’m the HBIC of road maintenance I got to do the honors to this 104 year old dying oak that was growing into the roadway.
Stock 8500 with a 28” loop of brand new Oregon EXL. Cuts great but the rakers are probably a little low from the factory for cutting hardwood.

Hi guys,I have one lonely Poulan saw - a S25DA with an electronic ignition that just took a dump.I saw one on Feebay,but I just missed getting it.Anybody got one they'd part with?

Your right it is plastic very well made plastic fooled me. I’m not quite sure but it looks like yours is a different color green. Did they not make the 3300 like mine very long. I haven’t found out a whole lot about them. I was partner only, till I found this dang website now the mid 80’s saws r all fair game. Thanks for your reply

The guy I bought it off of said saw never ran and nobody could fix it. It had been to a couple small engine mechanics and he had it a long time 30years. Here the gas lines was hooked up wrong they never hooked up the line to the cylinder. And it took me ten minutes on this site to figure it out. Thanks to guys like you fellas for posting about it. I think it might b the best overall running saw I have it will sit and idle forever. But by the looks of it nobody ever run it much.
I like a hidden muffler mod, two slots under front muffler sheild and 2 self tapping screws to angle the cover. Screen removed and deflector opened up.
Still a second of hesitation of the throttle goosed open, but a good representation of a 3400 for me and still running the scrap yard B/C.
Thats very hard pecan I have in the yard and it just down poured before the video so no dust .
I noticed some differences in the mufflers, the fist picture is the original 1979 muffler. It has a large hole followed by a series of small in the diffuser. The exhaust ports in the muffler are also different from the later model, it has multiple small holes as apposed to the 2 besides the larger.
