Great color. Terrible paint.
It’s funny to me, I think it’s ugly, yet I think an 8500 is one of the best looking saws ever made. Eyes of the beer holder thing I guess. I hear they did an 8500 and/or a 5200 in that color scheme too. This is the first orange one I’ve ever had my hands on. Looks like they could’ve at least made a matching decal for the recoil.
Excuse me for a moment gentlemen, I need a napkin for the uncontrollable drool!
What drunk design guy said “yep, looks good, send it?” The decals are horrible on an orange/red saw.
Well yup there's that no slot muffler they speak of.

Not needed. They come out so easy for me without using anything.
The same guys who chose a purple/green saw. The decals don’t jive but it’s still better looking than those.

Bet I have sold close to 12 of those now in 3750 the most. The 3450 version is the harder ones to find.
Personally, I like the Poulan green series. I have a 2250 torn down on my bench now that needs a lot. I just picked up a 2075 from eBay that’s on its way. It also looks like it needs a lot of help. I like the “midlife crisis green” and they’re extremely simple and easy to work on. Not to mention cheap!Just seeing if had any close ups of past purple ones I sold. Selling this cylinder cover to a guy for a 2077, Never noticed one with the decomp area marked out like needed for 505 2083 before.

I posted a few weeks ago about a 335 I got and I was going to try a LRB piston in it. Todd Loosli commented I should use the stock wrist pin. I see why! I was looking the new piston over and comparing it to the OEM one and thought the new one is heavier. Got out my reloading scale to check. Here is the findings:
I had a type 3 3450 60cc too. Sold it just like any other to a local for firewood cutting.
My 3450 T3 had HD 3 shoe clutch. Cant recall if had front exit muffler or not.
I know some of my 3450 saws had 137 carbs. Dont recall if this T3 had it or not.
I had a 505 come in with a lrb piston. Was no need to weigh it as you can tell from pics just like yours from bottom skirts.
Bet you can pick it out easy from the 54mm pistons.

I really wish meteor would jump on this Poulan bandwagon and make pistons for these 54 and 60cc versions.

Yes! A Meteor piston option would be great! I just hope the extra weight of the LRB piston don't affect the balance and cause more vibes. Skirt breakage shouldn't be a worry, however. At least somebody is making pistons for these great saws! Would be nice if Poulan had the parts in stock they claim to have...
I saw that the cylinder #530012367 is listed as available, so I ordered one from Partstree. I was thinking of using the new jug on the 335, and keeping the old one as a spare (I have another 335 also). After talking with Partstree, they don't know when they will get one in. I've been waiting to take a look at the new jug so I can compare it to the old one. The little bit of transfer cleaned off easy on the original, so maybe I'll just put it together... IDK... Anybody have problems like this before getting so called "in stock" parts? This guy just got a new LRB piston also and he's itching for a match up!: (both 54cc open port) 335 in backround.
