Noisy HotBlast Furnace

Hello all,

Dad's 1500 series HotBlast Furnace has a rattly side panel. The thing can get very annoying very quickly when the fans are on.

I tightened the screws on the top and back and that helped a bit. The front and lower frame have no screws. I was thinking of just drilling some holes and throwing some sheet metal screws at it.

Anyone have any other ideas?

My 1557 does that, I took a small piece of sheet metal, cut it (very small square) and shoved it between the lip of sheet metal Rattle solved.

:agree2: Mine has a screw driver stuck in the base...it cured my problem

Mine has a small sliver of wood in it. Someday I'm gonna rip things apart and change a few things and the rattle will be gone for god.. Some day, it's been 4 years so far.
