Old Homelite XP1000

Currently working on my Homelite XP1000. I was using it to cut up some large trees that had fallen on a friends property when the saw just stopped. After some checking I found I had lost all spark. Pulled the fly wheel and found the plug wire had broken off from the coil. After a exhaustive internet search I can not find a replacement. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That plug wire may screw into the coil. Try unscrewing the piece remaining in the coil. Then you can screw the wire back into the coil.

I figured it should screw into the coil as it looks to have come out of the coil as it broke off. Looking into the hole I can only see a small piece of wire.
