I have this poulan 3450 I tore down because the piston was scored and there was transfer to the cylinder. I used the muractic acid which worked very well I might add and then sanded with 320. I noticed however that there are these small pits all over the inside of the bore. Also there is some areas of the cylinder on the intake side that have very small groves that I will not be able to get out. Would you try using this cylinder.
The small white specks on the exaust side you see are the pits in the cylinder.

The pits shouldn't be a problem, if you can't feel the grooves (catch a finger nail in them) then they shouldn't be either.

Your photo isn't the clearest, but if I see rightly, there are two lines just to the left of the port?

I would put a piston in it and run it, if it's your own machine.
