I noticed that finding a drive sprocket for 1/2" chain to work on my Oregon type clutch on Stihl 090's is very rare. Tonight I modified a clutch I bought on Ebay and I thought I would share what I did. If you have a lathe and a bridgeport, it is not too difficult to machine off the clutch drum, bore to size and use a 1/8" Carbide end Mill to machine the interior "splines" . The gold sprocket is very hard as you get away from the bore, but it can be plunge cut with Carbide. if anybody wants to do this, I can post the x and y coordinates I used, let me know if interested. I just thought this was a pretty cool and not too expensive way to get a nice 7 tooth sprocket for 1/2" chain. (I did trash 2 end Mills doing this.)IMG_20170328_2114420.jpg
