outer bar plate missing or not

my 365xp and 460 rancher does not have an outer bar plate , but my 272xp has both inner and outer and my macs all have two , I do have a smaller husky , recently acquired , that I haven't checked yet
does anyone know if 365xp and 460 rancher should have both ? seems like they should

Some saws have two, some have one, some have none. What confuses me is the put the nylon wear snubbers on under both plates. Why the nylon does nothing.
