My 084's muffler cover finally bit the dust while milling this weekend. When I bought the saw, the cover had been mucked around with, two or three of the four corners had welds at the screw hole points. As those broke down, I utilized my own rudimentary welding "skills" on it.
When it fell off, it was LOUD! Also, the exhaust was then blowing right up at me and it was HOT!
I'm sure you get the point. Anyone have one, or can make one, especially one with a diverter tube or what have you that re-directs the exhaust gases? All advise welcome, including on how to possibly repair this one.
