I laugh every Saturday when I read a column in the paper called "Come and Get it". There's always people saying free firewood, bring chainsaws and helpers.

Yeah, our papers have the same now and then. I only got about 14 cords sold this year, and I was looking for more to to cut as I still had a lot of requests, well I saw an add that said free oak, so I thought what the hell. He tells me it's been DOWN about a year, just needs to be cut up. He thinks he has about 5 cords in several trees. Of course I get there and the trees have acutally been DEAD a year or so, not down..... I didn't cut my wood there, I know some poor people I'd rather give my services away to. Guess that's one way of getting rid of your trees.
