Got to take year old lab mix out to test his pheasant bird skills this week. He did Ok, Me not so good!
Pull up to yard and first thing I notice is an OWB set between barns and home.
Cool.
Arrived early so parked below the unit which was on the higher side of the driveway so all I could see was the back.
Walked up to the OWB CB and farmer came out and asked if I knew what I was looking at?
I said have read up on them and have seen a few.
He gets talking explaining how he heats the bird pens, some barns, and home with the unit.
Older unit and the more I stare at it, the more I see their was a recent accident.
I believe he said over Thanksgiving, very strong winds, partially not so clean flu, got the wind to blow embers out the front door vents which then caught his wood stash and wood holding building on fire.
Melted the Computer Board completely off the side of the OWB.
Believe he says he installed a aquastat on it now with a ??? that sends the hot water when needed.
Pipes were under ground and not on the side mount.
Just a heads up.
Lopi here and 54 deg outside this morning....going to clean the flu at my home today....
