Peach wood for wood stove?

Just curious if anyone has an opinion on peach wood for heat. Apple and cherry are great but I haven't tried peach. Thanks for any input!

I would think any fruit tree is great btu firewood but I have never burned any.

What ever I have that is properly dried - I put it in my wood stove and if it generates heat it's good, and it usually does...

I hear ya, dry is key. I'm going to end up sitting on about 2/3 of what I got my hands on for that reason, not dry enough although I could smoke with it ala mad professor! ; )

I actually threw some in the other day, burned great although I don't think it has the btu's of apple, it'll work for offsetting my pitchier woods

Throw it in the furnace, save it for cooking so long as your burning it and getting enjoyment/heat out of it it's all good. Me personally it would be going in the wood shed then furnace, but I'm not much of an open flame cook.
