I'm a new chainsaw user, and couldn't find this info in the archives, so apologies if this is obvious.

I was going to buy a Pferd chain sharp filing guide in 7/32", #17049, to sharpen Oregon chain 72V, 72LG/LGX or 72LP/LPX, and semi-chisel 72DP (or perhaps Stihl RM/RMC). All sharpen with a .025 depth gauge. However I just noticed that in the Oregon chain sharpening chart that the 72DP sharpens with a 35 degree top plate angle while the other 72 chains I listed sharpen with a 25 degree top plate angle.

What angle(s) does the Pferd filing guide support? I know their round file handles are either 25/30 or 30/35, so now I'm wondering if the guide will support both 25 and 35.

Alternatively do you have a recommendation for what I could use that would support both 25 and 35 degree top plate angles? Thanks.
