philadelphia Arboretums

I will be traveling to Philadelphia next week, and would like to visit at least one Arboretum. I checked the web and there are many choices. I would appreciate some advice from someone who knows about the Arboretums in the area. What do you know about Bartrams Gardens? Others? Thanks, Mark

The Morris Arboretum in the Chestnut Hill section of the city is really nice, I have never been to the Bartram one although I am somehow related to John Bartram. Have a nice time while in town.

Has anyone heard of Longwood Gardens in the Philadelphia area?

Longwood Gardens is another nice one, probably bigger than Morris, but further away from center city. I don't know where you are staying but Lomgwood Gardens is actually on the far fringe of a surrounding county almost into Maryland. You might want to mapquest them. Good luck.
