I have a question reguarding the pitch and gauge on my saws.
My 028 has a .325 pitch and a .063 as the gauge.
My 041 has a 3/8 pitch and runs a .050 gauge.
Now here is the question. Seeing as the 3/8 is a bigger chain, why does the gauge not correspond with this? I would think that a 325 pitch would have a .050 gauge, and a 3/8 would have a .063 gauge. .063 is larger than .050 and this should be on the 3/8's bar. What am I missing? Thanks, Ken
