Please Help! What kind of tree is this??

I gonna take a wild guess from the pic it looks like a pollarded norway maple.

Get some close ups of the leaves
 
Not with those pictures...

Close up of the twigs. Closer detail of the bark. Pictures of the leaves. Anything besides a distant blury picture, really would help.
 
I swing by this morning to take better pictures of the tree. It's still cool in here (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) and there is no new leaves yet. However, I found this old leaf still hanging onto a tall branch. Please let me know if you know what kind of tree it is. Thank you very much.:newbie:
 
It's a linden of some sort. Those buds are definitely linden family. Tilia, basswood, linden, etc. They're all the same thing. The dried leaves are the leaves that the seed come out of. I forget the technical term, but here's a picture of what I'm talking about:

In NB, we've got native basswood trees (Tilia Americana) and there are some European varieties planted in places. I'm not sure which variety that tree is though.
