Getting the clutch out of the drum was the difficult part, just stuck in there for years. What made the drum removal difficult?
I just received this in the mail in case I decide to try and replace my worn drum/sprocket on my 270. Big thanks to @heimannm.
Was the clutch stuck to the key on the crank?Getting the clutch out of the drum was the difficult part, just stuck in there for years.
That was a good score. Lots of knowledgable people on here willing to help others. The PM parts are scarce.
I think that was all just stuck on the key and shaft a bit, I put a little WD40 on the shaft by the Key and used the torch to heat the clutch a little, not the shaft. Was the clutch stuck to the key on the crank?
It makes me nervous tearing into that old clutch...
Good morning. Need some help with the model of this one... Don't say Canadien or PM anywhere.. Just Made in Canada.. Sorry about my English. Cheers
I think that would be the PM Canadien 177, 187 sold as Skil 1661. From what I've seen the Skil saws are not stamped with Canadien but still have the maple leaf.Good morning.
