I usually don`t read these cheapy fix saw threads but you guys crack me up, get loads of laughs so here`s a tidbit. You only need to remove one circlip to push the wrist pin out through, not both so if one is out already then push the pin out through the side the pin is already out of. Heat the piston some, any source of heat will help.

Like pioneerguy600 said, just remove the clip on the side of the piston that has the chamfer to make it easy, then drift the pin out on that side using an appropriate sized punch. That "seal" is just a trim strip that fits onto the plastic body to keep stuff out of the carb cavity. This is actually an easy saw to work on as long as you go the whole way and remove the clutch, oiler, and flywheel first. Removing the 4 bolts will then let you take the whole engine out and inspect the crankshaft, bearing and seals and do a good job of cleaning everything before reassembly. Make sure the new piston is installed with the ring gap on the intake side of the piston. Be very thorough about using sealer all around the crankcase halves and the bearing seals and when you finally install the engine in the case, tighten each of the 4 bolts in a crosswize pattern a little at a time. Also, the bearing seals will have indents on them from the way they were mounted in the case, so make sure the bearing are rotated so that they match again. When you finish swearing at this saw you should find a McCulloch mini mac to work on, that one will really get you going.
