Hi guys, I recently got a poulan 3500 with a stuffed pull start, poulan aren't a common saw in Australia and I found the threads on here that suggested the part was NLA. Thought I'd share my 'bush mechanic' fix. It's holding up so far. Stihl 009 starter is same diameter but the pulley is not thick enough so I cut the spring casing out and drilled it to slide in. Poulan case is not changed so if I ever get parts it can go back to standard. Cheers Al
