I got a poulan pro 655 BP from a member here. I haven't got to run it but my dad has it at his place and might start it up tomorrow. I'm trying to decide what bar to put on it. I've got the 32" tsumura light or a 30" cannon. I might need to pick up a big bar to use at gtgs.

I always buy stihl mount bars just in case so I'll have to make an adapter to fit the studs. The only husky mount bars I have are 24" and I think that will be too short for most use it will see. I plan to only take it out to buck big wood and gtgs. I don't know how that will work out since I'll probably love how it runs:msp_thumbup:. This saw and a 166 were basically the top of the want list. :D

I had a p62 before and always wanted the 655BP so i've been looking for one for a good while and finally one came up for sale. I would imagine it will be a little stronger than a p62 was.

It really depends on the P62. The carb it has and the P/C, etc. But yes, It's possible may be a tad stronger.

Here's a couple more pictures of the pp655 and one of the new 576 with it's new spikes. The 655 cleaned up nicely it looks like.

I found them on ebay. No I haven't run it yet. I'm still not home. I don't know if my dad fired it up or not. It might be more than he wants to start.

Alright I ran almost a tank through it today in a log pile cutting up some poplar that was seasoned out pretty good and some cherry. It ran great. I'm real impressed with the power of it. The 576 felt like a toy after using it for a few minutes.

Just out of curiosity what was the 655 rated at hp wise? Acres doesn't list it.
