Poulan Pro Tool-less Chain Tightening System

Poulan Pro PP4620AVX the wheel/gear that you turn to adjust the chain (Tool-less Chain Tightening System) is stripped is there a metal gear that can replace the pastic one?

Probably not from Poulan. Durability is not one of the highlights of their design department. You could probably fabricate something if you really wanted to.

Not long ago one of the members had the same problem. He removed the wheel and drilled the cover for a bar nut. I'd bet that one of the non AVX model clutch covers would also work on your saw.

I know on the 4218 they made the first ones with the traditional 2 bar nuts and adjusting screw, then at some point switched to the POS tool less design. The only difference is the cover. So, you might be able to find a clutch cover made before the switch for the 4620 if you want to eliminate it.
