I put new bearings on the crank and am ready to put it back in. I have had great luck on the other saws I have worked on by heating the case by the bearings. THe bearings just slide right in. I have tried this on the 625 and it is still tight. Tonight, I will try freezing the crank(supposed to be -15 tonight) and heating the case, but I thought I would ask here if I was missing a "trick" to getting this to work. I can probably get some dry ice at the supermarket if I need to get colder, but other than heat and cold, I am out of ideas.

It happens sometimes.Just heat the case on one side and use a plastic hammer, hit the crank end few times to "center" it in the case,at same time the bearing will move slightly to give more room in the case freeing the crank.Repeat on both sides.Dont forget to screw the flywheel nut flush with the crank end before hitting.
