My operator's manual suggests WOT between 10,500 and 11,500. (It's an Echo 3450)

I just recently opened up the muffler a little bit, not much, but I haven't touched the carb yet.

The manual says if it's running above 11,500 to enrich the mixture.... I just tached it, and it's at 10,400 WOT. So..... Does that mean that I don't need to touch the carb? That it's running rich enough?

Apparently the slight mod I did to the muffler hasn't increased flow... Not much, anyway.

Yea - I would say that it is rich enough, even with you muffler mod!

That - or like you said - the mod didn't really change the flow any...... But - either way - you are at the "target" rpms, and that is what you want!!
