There is a guy selling rebuilt/refurbished Stihl 260's on ebay. They basicly look like new and he claims only Stihl parts are used. Anyone have any expiereance with these?

Yeah I've ran a few 260's. They're good saws, but insanely overpriced.

I bought a bar and chain package from him once ,was all genuine stihl stuff ,i think had 20,25 and 28 inch bar and several chains for each bar ,i believe they are built from nos stihl parts ,at least the ones i saw a while back were ,made from a mixture of 026 and 260 stuff

I notice it says refurbished and it doesn't say anything about brand new. I would definitely ask the seller to specify.
Some of his listings he says they are built from new OEM parts.

Yeah, but that is other listings. This saw looks brand new, but it could be all new parts on a repainted case. And if that is the case then it may be over priced depending on the condition of the piston.
If your concerned..ask him.
