Review of the Westford CS mill

this looks very much like the granberg mark III. i wonder who came up with it first. obviously someone's patent right expired. does anyone have exprience with both of them and a preference? -nick
 
I can tell by looking that the grandburg has one advantage. Where the mill clamps onto the vertical tubing this mill has a machined aluminium block vs the grandburg which uses a u-bult with a cast aluminium scpacer. while the machined aluminium looks nice and rigid it is for this very reason it would be less preferable to the grandburg. The cast spacer on the grandburg allows me to lossen the clamp a bit and move each end independent of the other without it binding. The machined blocks look like they would bind if the two ends are not adjusted at the same time.
