I've done my share rebuilding car/truck engines, but this is my first foray into these microscopic 2-strokes. :dizzy:

Is there such a thing as a small ring compressor for these tiny pistons, or is there another method for getting the piston and ring safely into the jug?

Occasional ring compressor

There are some nice small compressors which are inexpensive. You can use a stainless hose clamp or some people build a plastic wrap by cutting off some of an spray paint can top. The correct tool is nice if you do very much work. I think Bailey's has it and others. I was typing while the other person was posting!

great

Thanks, Guys! :yourock:

This is the kind of stuff forums excel at.

"Piston support block"? Small block Chebbys or Jag 3.8's never needed needed piston support blocks...

The paint-can-top and hose clamps were great ideas. I may incorporate both into one compressor!

Yeah..but you need 'em here...

You're placing the jug on the piston...not the piston into the cylinder...

I made my first one from a piece of wood...still use it.
