Roper/Craftsman 917

I am too old to work on Broncos anymore so have renewed my interest in chainsaws. In particular the model I cut beetle wood in Evergreen CO In the 70s, the Craftsman/Roper 917 models. I have two solid state units and one with points I am starting to work on. The points one needs a coil. Would the Homelite XL-12 or Super Xl be a viable replacement coil or are their coils for solid state application? Anyone have a spare original Roper coil that would fit would be preferred. Trying to stay away from Chinese junk.
