I saw an ad for a metal plate that goes between stump cutter teeth and the cutter wheel so wheel won't wear, They were called Save-A Wheel I think. Has anyone used them and where to but. Thanks

Leonardi Manufacturing sells them. They are inexpensive and work very well. Changing teeth is easier, too: they slide out with fewer bolt loosening turns.

Yeah, I have Leonardi's literature on them. I like Leonardi's teeth and customer service but I don't really get the wheel-saver shim gizmo-I have 10 years use on my stump cutter's wheel and it isn't worn out-most of the wear has been on the perimeter of the wheel, not the portion shielded by the tooth pocket!:)

Ditto with mine, but I was starting to get a little bit of an indentation on the wheel where the tooth shank lies. This resulted in some slippage during operation, so it's definitely not a gimmick, or made-up scenario.
