finally pulled my cheapo lowes dremel knockoff out and immediately developed a deeper level of respect for those of you who do porting.
all i'm trying to do is polish the exhaust port. i'm a pretty fart smeller but I don't know nothing about which stones to use or how to even identify the harder vs. softer stones based on color. or even how to polish after grinding.
bottom line - could really use some hints to get me started from some a youse guys. thanks muchly

You can't grind aluminum with stones, you have to use carbide burrs or diamond burrs. First step to polish ex port, use emory cloth wrapped around an arbor.
