just to start off, i did use the search function. i'm looking for information on how to rebuild a saw (internet or books would be best). step by step stuff would be the ultimate for me (something like the haynes manuals they make for cars and trucks). some day in the near future i want to tear down my 394xp and rebuild it. i'm sure tearing it down and putting it back together wouldn't be too much of a problem for me, i've learned a fair amount about the mechanics of saws, but i don't know anything about the specifics: properly installing rings, how much to torque nuts, and any little tricks that make it go smoother. i definately don't want to rebuild it incorrectly and blow it to pieces and lose all the money i plan on investing in rebuilding.

another note, will 395xp cylinders/pistons match up with my 394?
