Saws at Home Depot

I was at the local Home Depot today and they are selling there used 6400 chainsaws from their rental fleet. They come with a 20 inch bar and a new chain.
I asked to run them both and on the one the carb was off so badly that the saw would not idle and the other saw we could not get to start. They were asking 230 a saw.

That seemed a little high to me.
I just thought i would pass around the information in case someone wanted to know. I wonder it all the Home Depots dump their saws in the spring.

My local HD sells them for $150 each. First come first served basis. I can never hit it right when the sell them off, about once a year.

Good call. It'd be like buying a used rental car. And yeah that sounds high to me.

if they still rented makita ,id like it better. i like husk saws ,just not some of the current line
