Can someone tell me how you go about using pay pal to sell parts on this site. I've only sold stuff on Ebay and it works you through it on there. Thanks in advance

Nope! Just mark it in the post how you want it let them know if you require 5 for using standard paypal or if Friends and Family is preferred. I've used it a couple of times now for stuff and works well. Like LowVolt said you give them the email associated with your account and they send the stuff from their end I am not tech savvy and even I figured it out!

I just figured people would feel safer with pay pal, but personally could do any of the 3 options. I guess it may be couple days more to receive payment, maybe not.I'm new to this, just got a lot parts I'm not going to use and lot of projects I could finish with the funds.

The big advantage of Paypal is that it's fast. You can agree to buy something and pay for it within minutes so it can get headed your way faster. When I sell something, I'll take a money order or whatever but it drags out the process since I won't ship until I have funds in hand. I buy a lot of stuff online but don't sell all that much. Most of my saws I buy/sell in person off of Craigslist.

Once you get the money into your PayPal account you need to transfer the money into your bank account. It only takes a couple of clicks and maybe a day or two. If its a significant amount of money then I will wait until it clears into my bank before I ship. Just to make sure the payer doesn't nig on the payment after the package is sent. I don't know how easy it is to reverse a payment like that but I recall reading it can happen only if you leave the money in PayPal.

Postal money orders do not have to go to post offices. I cash them at my bank.

Matter of fact Fri I was sent a postal money order from NC and received it Mon here in OH. Cashed usps M.O. at bank today and shipped saw.

Kinda hard to mail out a saw from your bank while you're there, though. Huh?

On the subject of PayPal,,,,from my experience, I tell people to use the "send cash to friends/family "option... That way there are no fees charged...I don't know if there is a limit on the amount of money sent where PayPal charges a fee...

Sounds like the folks at the post office and bank just know you :)

I'm such a good all around guy I can mail packages at McDonalds and cash money orders at the dog groomer and I don't own a dog.
