Simple chain question

These two chains have the same markings, look the same and both say 72 on the drivers but why does one of the chains have what looks like a rounded off driver on it every so often? Cell phone pic...sorry.

I've got some of the old stock myself with those drive links. I just turn up the oiler a bit higher when I run those chains.

I haven't had any issues with the rudder links, but have only used them in 16" - I can well imagine them making trouble with rail cleaning and oil distribution on long bars.

The latest LGX is going back to NO rudder links, so I don't think you are missing out on much.
